January 26, 2008
UTICA, IL-

Dear Brothers,

January 26 brought a day filled with potential, excitement, and fellowship, as Arrowmen from All Across Section C-3B gathered at the Grand Bear Lodge in Utica, IL for our Council of Chiefs meeting.

Among the topics discussed were, the New Online Registration System, Conclave Committee Planning, and Conclave Themes.

After Lunch, the Lodge Advisers met with Steve Miller and Jim Naprstek to cover questions about the newly developed Online Registration System. They brought up many questions, and expressed their interest and excitement in the use of this System for Section Events.

During that same period of time, the youth of the Section broke off into the seperate Planning Committees, to discuss more in depth topics related to Conclave. The ideas were filled with uniqueness and poise. Each Committee worked well and they have big plans for Conclave '08 @ Great Lakes Naval Base.

From there, the Council of Chiefs reconvened to determine what Theme would shape this year's Conclave. Among the ideas were "In the Navy", "Many are Called, Few are Chosen", "For Those About to Serve, We Salute You", and "We are They, They Who Wear the Sash." After a long and tedious debate, the Council of Chiefs selected, "OA-It's not a job, it's an Adventure". All of the Officers, CVC's, and Advisers are excited and anxous to begin to carry out the plans for this Conclave.

We would like to thank all of you who came out, voiced your opinions,

Yours in Brotherhood,

Kevin Harper, Jim Naprstek, and Richie Ferolo
